Monsignor Brian Donahue  Pastor

Father Paul Kuhn  Parochial Vicar

Father Paul Kuhn grew up in Harvey, North Dakota with his mom, dad, and brother, graduating from Harvey high school in 2005.  He attended Bismarck State College from 2005-2007; Minnesota State Community and Technical College (MSCTC) in Moorehead, MN from 2007-2008; North Dakota State University from 2008-2010; and Mount St. Mary's University and Seminary in Maryland from 2010-2016, graduating with a Bachelor of arts in Philosophy and Masters in Theology.

Fr. Kuhn likes country, classical and Christian music. He is a big fan of the Lord of the Rings & Hobbit movies, and he says his favorite country is Portugal.  In his free time, he likes hiking, camping, playing cards, basketball, ultimate Frisbee, or disc golf.

His favorite scripture passage is Romans 10:14-17:  But how can they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how can they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone to preach? And how can people preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring [the] good news!" But not everyone has heeded the good news; for Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed what was heard from us?" Thus faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.

Deacon Les Noehre  Deacon

Deacon Les and his wife Annette have been married for over 37 years.  They have two grown children, Thomas and Matthew, and two grandchildren, Xavier and Grace.  He is a retired officer (Major) in the Army National Guard, where he received the Combat Action Badge and Bronze Star. Deacon Les makes his living as the District Engineer for the ND Dept. of Transportation. He likes to read, garden, and hunt upland game with his pointing dog B'Lucy.

His favorite pastimes include spending time with and serving the Lord, the Sacrament of Marriage with Annette, and serving the parish, the poor, and sojourners.

Stacey Hanson  Business Manager

Stacey is mom to 5 girls, all who have or currently are attending Catholic schools.  She has an undergrad in Business Management from Mayville State and a Graduate Degree from the University of Mary.  While she has only been an employee of Holy Family for about a year,  she has attended services here for the past decade.  Stacey has had kids in HFSM school for the last 10 years.  Outside of work, she keeps busy with her kids sports schedules: volleyball and softball rule their free time!  She enjoys scrapbooking, cross stitching, reading, and spending time with her family.  When asked  what the best part of her job is, Stacey said "Working to grow our faith community with the resources we have.  I am able to incorporate the faith I love with my day to day work life."

Sharon Wilhelmi Director of Religious Education

Teresa Orr Youth Minister

Teresa grew up in Grand Forks and loved it so much she decided to stick around. She's been a parishioner here her whole life! She and her husband Mike have 4 kids and 1 dog. Their youngest child is in her last year at Holy Family-St. Mary's School.  In her spare time she likes to hang out with her kids. Teresa's focus at Holy Family is youth in 6th grade through high school. She also works with Sharon on the Faith Formation program for elementary age kids. Her favorite part about working here is watching the youth of our parish grow in their faith.

Karen Litzinger Secretary

Karen has been serving Holy Family for over 19 years. She knows the place inside and out (we REALLY miss her when she has the day off!). Karen is originally from Devils Lake, North Dakota. She has 5 grown children and 12 grandkids. On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, Karen can be found in the office she shares with Holy Family's unofficial mascot, Winnie - a dachschund/corgi mix. When she's not in the parish office, Karen likes to read, garden, and crochet. She is a member of the Prayer Shawl Ministry. Her favorite part of her job here is interacting with parishioners.

Renee Holthaus Pastoral Assistant

Renee is the newest member of the Holy Family team, filling the role of Pastoral Assistant for our parish. Renee and her husband Andy are parents to three great kids: Nathan, Avery, and Olivia, all of whom have attended or currently attend HFSM. Renee hails from Little Falls, Minnesota. She ended up in Grand Forks when her husband was stationed here with the Air Force. She loves camping, fishing, and hunting with her family. She is excited to work with all of our parishioners and volunteers. Stop by the parish office to say 'Hi' and welcome Renee to Holy Family!

Elizabeth Knudson Parish Secretary

Elizabeth is the smiling face you see when you visit our Parish Office.  She tries to answer every question our parishioners may have, or at least point them in the right direction to get information. She started here in the spring of 2018 and describes her job as 'a delight to come to, every day'.  Elizabeth's favorite thing about Holy Family is visiting with parishioners who drop by the office. She is usually accompanied by her tiny sidekick, baby Laia. Elizabeth is also mom to 10 and 7 year old daughters who attend HFSM.  When not at Holy Family, Elizabeth loves to cook, ride motorcycle, play piano, and read. She aspires to travel more in the future, but her main hobby right now is cleaning her house.

Mike Raymond Building and Maintenance

Mike is from Crookston, Minnesota where he lives with his wife of 44 years and his 15-year old granddaughter.  He retired in 2016 and after 1 year of being bored to death, he decided to go back to work. We are thrilled he did, because he can fix just about anything and is doing a great job keeping our buildings and grounds looking wonderful.  Outside of work, Mike enjoys spending time at Maple Lake, fishing, snowmobiling, and going out to eat (especially at his favorite restaurant, Red Lobster).
