United by our common baptism and Father, we of the Holy Family community praise God for the abundant gifts given to each and every one of us and we take seriously our responsibility to use these gifts in service for the good of all creation.

Liturgical Ministry

Members of the Liturgical Ministry team assist in various roles during both daily and weekend Mass. We are always seeking new additions to the Liturgical Ministry team! Where can you best share your time and talent? We will happily train you to serve in one of these vital positions!

Typically, Liturgical Ministry team volunteers are scheduled for one or two weekend Masses per month, based on their availability and preferred Mass time. This is not a huge time committment, and is such a wonderful way to serve the parish, get to know other parishioners, and make new friends. Substitutes are available in the event that you have to miss a service.

Sacristan Prepares the items used by the priest during the Eucharist at Mass. The sacristan also serves as somewhat of a "quarterback" for the Liturgical Ministry team for each Mass - making sure the volunteers have arrived and seeking volunteers for open positions. The sacristan typically arrives at least a half an hour prior to the Mass.

Lector Reads the First and Second reading during the Mass. Lectors are typically scheduled to read no more than once a month.

Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion (EMHC) Assists the priest with the distribution of the Eucharist. Typically around once a month.

Usher Direct parishioners and visitors to seating and assist Mass attendees with questions. Being an usher is a GREAT way for a high school student or young adult to get involved with the parish.

Altar Server Assist the priest during the Mass. Open to any child or youth, 3rd grade and older, (generally preferred that the student has completed First Eucharist but not necessarily required.) Time commitment is once or twice a month, depending on availability.

Rosary Leader Leads the Rosary prior to the Mass. Schedule will depend on availability.
